Why did we spend 40m plus on him when its becoming pretty evident the manager isn't sure he's good enough

Fully agree. Especually v the worst team in the league. If you cant do it against them why spend the vast majority of our small transfer budget on him. Insanity really. Why did we spend 40m plus on him when its becoming pretty evident the manager isn't sure he's good enough
People keep saying Moyes was in full control of transfers as well last summer!Fully agree. Especually v the worst team in the league. If you cant do it against them why spend the vast majority of our small transfer budget on him. Insanity really.
The sentiment of this is fair, for as much as things beyond his control work against him, he’s still on control of his own actions. Can he stand a little wider? Can he release a pass or shot a little earlier? Can he beat his man? All these things he can try to improve off his own bat. The fans will recognise endeavour at the very least.End of the day, its the premier league. You have to perform in every game and prove yourself.
Tim got subbed off at half time in a few game and bounced back.
If he thinks its an easy ride like he was at Southampton cos he was the golden boy, hes just had a shock

Moyes on Dibling: “ill not be telling him what he needs to improve”
Am i living in an alternate reality or is that nuts?
Boss Moyes, though, says he will not tell Dibling directly why he was taken off at the interval during a poor 4-2 defeat to Brentford on Sunday.Has anyone got the full quote on this

Doesn't seem to apply to McNeilEnd of the day, its the premier league. You have to perform in every game and prove yourself.

I do completely agree with what you’ve said re Dibling needing to find another level. Unlike some of our other question marks, I do fully believe he will. With a right back, Ndaiye to ease some pressure and KDH bringing more quality in the middle, he’ll be fine. Just hope Moyes doesn’t destroy his confidence before then.Hes had minutes to make an impression and hasn't.
I mean, i can recall Lewis Dobbin making more of an impression than he has. And he scored a goal
