2025/26 Tyler Dibling

….absolutely. I defend his team selections. He knows his best X1 and 24 points at Christmas is acceptable but if it’s true that he signs off on all transfers, then he has to be responsible for big money failures.
Putting Moyes aside for a moment, ultimately my main issue with all of this is that TFG should be dictating the structure of the footballing side and appointing a CEO who implements it. Unfortunately they’ve let Moyes have the major say so in all of this because of his demands when they appointed him.

Another thing not spoken about is his absolute lack of effort.

Beto is no where near good enough, he comes on and attempts to get into the game.

Young Tyler just walking around last night. No pressing no pressure no getting himself involved.

If you’ve got 8 minutes, or whatever it might be, you bust a gut to say to the manager you can trust me. The minimum I’ll do is work hard.

It's easier to deflect blames when you have 4 people supposedly making the decision together rather than one dof in charge of making the signings. If it doesn't work, they will blame the manager.

Personally, I'd disagree here. I think he's a young player, who is a home bird, and if he's not getting game time it may be impacting on his confidence.

I believe he will come good, give time and care, but I fully appreciate the wider point that we've spent £30m+ in development...

...when in reality we need some who is ready now, or at least closer to fitting straight into the XI. Moyes has rarely thrown young players into the squad.

Even when he started against Palace, he showed no desire to get on the ball, track a man or anything basic that would at least win some points with fans or Moyes

Yes, he should be starting over McNeil - I’m in that camp - but he’s not helping his own cause

And there have been plenty of questions about his application in training too

Moyes may well have final say but who is suggesting we spend £30 million on Barry or £20 million on Rohl? Or £12 million on Aznou? Moyes isn’t coming in with these players on his list demanding we sign them.

Why do you think he isnt picking those players?

Why do you not think that he's given a selection of players from the scouting department who fit the remit he's provided them, then he's said who he wants?

After this Hammond has negotiated the deals and Kinnear has confirmed the deals with Moyes and they have been completed.

Because the above is what the structure is. Unless you think that Seamus Coleman or the dinner ladies are signing the players?

They made a mess of it at Roma and then gave Ranieri a free hand which is how theyve also treated Moyes.

Big big big differences with Italian football and also Ranieri and Moyes. With Ranieri now as an advisor of course and Gasparini as manager who is a level or three above Moyes.

They have a mix of youth and experience with Wesley (who Moyes pulled our deal on) and Soule being two of their best players and each 22 years of age.

Gasparini a known manager who develops young players into stars within systems that are fluid, high tempo pressing and allow players to take risks.

Moyes' system is rigid and frowns upon risk taking.

I think TFG like you said before will keep Moyes as an advisor like Rainieri (who is loved by Romans) and bring in our own Gasparini-type manager this or next summer...well i hope so at least.

What remit did he give for Barry? (Who he does play btw.)

‘Can you find me a weak, clumsy young lad that will be out of his depth in the Prem?’

Needs to find a bit more passion and motivation. Doesn't look like he is enjoying himself.
He looks incredibly meek. Moyes has already commented before that "he's a shy lad", which in itself isn't a problem at all, but when you're playing in the Premier League and especially as a flair-type of player, those characteristics don't really lend themselves to the best players. He likely feels he's been hard done by any nobody can really blame him — if you're seeing McNeil constantly played out of position ahead of you when a spot opens up, then you know something is badly wrong.

And considering how it was this time last year it has paid off

He looks scared to try anything. Could be down to confidence and he’s keeping it simple because he doesn’t want to cock - up.
He's got to be given a start so he gets used to his teammates' speed of thought. He's been passing to the right area but who he passes to isn't on the the same page. Probably due to the fact he's passing it forward but the rest of the team are used to it being passed sideways, or back.

Moyes wouldn’t work as an advisor Zat.

I think @jceverton mentioned this was brought up in negotiations before when he joined.

Actually think Moyes saying he wont do 11 years this time and the 2.5 year contract suits him and TFG.

He'll be 63 in April and may want to get paid for an advisory role when he hits 64. The new senior hires are all due to Moyes as well.

Yeah that's what I was told they discussed, Moyes to move upstairs after end of his contract and bring a younger coach through, possibly Baines or Coleman. As ever in football all dependent on results.
