2025/26 Tyler Dibling

He's told to check back IMO. You can see that in his play as opposed to the way he played at Southampton.
There is no way any coach tells any attacking player to cut back inside and pass backwards when they send them on late on 1 nil down.

The player needs to do far more and stop playing so safe. If he isn't able to play forward and commit defenders then it's hard to argue for him to play more.

Him and Alcaraz look technically very good but when it comes down to it they are just average I guess, and aren't very direct or goal threats

Alcaraz has been shown that no matter what happens he will be dropped.

Dibling has been shown that he will be unused no matter what and thrown in randomly with McNeil used over him.

Their confidence must be at rock bottom.

At Southampton he showed more than enough talent to take players on didn’t he? Now he can’t even do that.
He plays in a team that usually has Grealish, KDH and Ndiaye in it; you'd wonder why he isn't being encouraged to carry the ball.

No way a lad as young as him is playing conservatively because he wants to. He has to be being told to just recycle the ball. That's what it looks like.

Why do you think hes doing that?

Afraid to make a mistake and dropped again?

Moyes not giving him a proper chance?

Look at Alcaraz...trying too hard charging around as hes dropped no matter what he does.

Nah, the move to Everton isn't like going from a PL team to a regular CL team. There's no need to be intimidated by the move.

These are instructions.

Completely predictable, as it was by many on here, that just giving him 5 minutes of pity minutes occasionally would mean by the time we desperately need him during AFCON he isn't in a good place. You need minutes to get sharp and develop.

No matter what you think about the signing this kid was genuinely one of the best dribblers in the league last season for a terrible team during his debut season age 18. The talent is undeniably there, his development has just been terribly managed so far.

I fear Moyes will use these 15 minutes to vindicate his decision to give him even less than that going forward, when he should do the opposite.

We’re fairly comfortably mid table, got a few winnable games coming up, Ndiaye and KDH unavailable, now is the perfect time to take a risk and show some faith in the lad.

I hope I’m proven wrong and that he gets to start the next game.

There's no dropping him, he's already not starting with all of the injuries and AFCON.

Fair or not, he needs to do more with his time to expect more time.

Moyes doesn't have that option, he needs to play him.

Looks like ALL of our midfielders like to play sideways and back today but Dibling gets it in the neck for doing the same?

Pretty clear hes been told to cut inside and play sideways or backwards.

The one time he didnt he put a low cross in with his right. Nothing wrong with him defensively and he made an interception.

Nothing wow, nothing bad.

Needs to start games. Like Barry was given a chance to do so.

Using McNeil over him is a slap in the face.
