2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Rooney looked like a street footballer, same as N’Diaye. Dibling just looks over-coached if anything. Just wants to recycle possession like in a training exercise.
His first instinct looks to be turn inside and pass back or sideways. The coaches need to be telling him that's not what his role is. His role is to take people on and play forward.

Perhaps he's thinking he's likely to be back on the bench again next week so doesn't want to take any risks or make silly passes and lose the ball when he could play safer simple stuff that keeps the numbers looking good on the stats pages? Who knows.

Thought the same with Beto, constantly checks back to maintain possession now.

Players are being instructed to keep the ball for Grealish/KDH rather than do what they're good at. That patience paid off at Utd but we had no aggression here.

Not seen what he was like before but from what I’ve seen from him for us he’s just not the type of winger we needed at all, nowhere near dynamic enough

I know some kind soul will provide the "proof" from tippytappy.com or footybollocks.co.uk to say otherwise but Dibling is not and never has been a winger.

I base this opinion on having watched pretty much every min he played at Soton.

Makes me wonder if our recruitment team bothered to do the same.

I think the curse of expectation and frustrations at lack of performance will conspire to ensure he doesn't make it at Everton.
