2025/26 Tyler Dibling

You obviously never saw rondon play for us
Not many people did tbf, I did see him waddling about a lot though.
My memory of him will always be of one of his first appearances, after about 10 minutes he was so unfit that his soaking wet shirt made him look like he’d been fished out of a river. He looked like he was going to expire at any given second.

Before he was he subbed on he appeared pre exhausted just taking off his training bib

Said weeks ago, if were not prepared to play him / he’s deemed not ready, he should have been left at Soton for the season, either as a loan to reduce the buying price or just not bought him when we did.
I certainly don’t recall there being any stories about rivals for his signature at the time.

Whatever noise about his signing there is now, will be amplified many times over if he still can’t get in ahead of McNeill when the AFCON is on.
Totally true, he should be playing 45 min each game, no excuses for giving more players game time.

I dont really understand what is going on with Dibling.
We are 3 months into the season and he has hardly had a sniff, at 40 million you surely have a definate plan of where he is going to play?
Was he a Moyes signing or was he pushed on him by others at the club?
We really are not in a position to give 40m players time to bed in.

Maybe based on what he sees in training Moyes thinks we've been had.

Moyes is just completely allergic to giving teenagers a chance and has been basically forever. The real confusion is what happened in the summer - did he tell Kinnear etc that he would play Dibling and Aznou? Did he believe it?

….erm, I don’t think it’s confusing.

As with all transfers, I’d imagine the hope was both would prove to be effective performers but they haven’t been. Seems very straightforward to me.

Beesley said: “My understanding it was Southampton who went back to Everton to re-initiate those talks again.

“It was Southampton who came back to Everton.

“So maybe on Everton, I understand that’s one that David Moyes fought long and hard over, as far as I know.”

Moyes approved all the players signed in the summer. Hammond negotiated and Kinnear signed off on the funds.

As has been posted previously, Moyes very rarely plays young players.
