Its a tough one really, our 2 best players are the 2 wingers...so its easy to see why he has not played much.
We ALL screamed for a right winger all summmer, and got one.
Its just one of them where we and him will have to wait for his chance.
Not sure any of us really expected Ndiaye to step up this much as THE right winger, else we would not have all screamed for a right winger.
Strange football really.
The strange thing is that even though they are clearly our best two players, they do hamper us to an extent. Both drop deep to collect the ball to feet, and neither have the pace to run in behind and have the ball played in front of them.
It means we have to work very hard to score a goal, whereas look at say, West Ham’s goal against us, it’s just pure pace from Somerville that causes it.
Ideally one should be in the middle with a direct, pacey player on the other flank. Unfortunately we’ve only got
Dibling who wants to do the same thing, or McNeil, who couldn’t outrun a glacier. Poor planning.
