I honestly don't understand your point here. And really don't understand the relevance of Manchester United fans to a possible transfer with Everton and Southampton

Southampton can ask for whatever price they want and keep the player if they want. That's totally up to them. All I am saying is that the situations are not the same because we could offer premier league to try and keep JB and Southampton can't offer that. It's also much more likely a players value will rise in future playing top flight football than in the championship. And that's why I think Southampton will decide to sell. But at the end of the day that's up to them and not Everton.

I'm not sure those points are arrogant, it's just how football works. If Everton get relegated in future our best players will leave.

I'm saying some of our fans are acting exactly like the United fans did last summer over Branthwaite.

Thinking they could get him on the cheap.

Branthwaite has proven himself to a much greater extent than Dibling.

Ironically, I think Dibling will be a great player but he's less proven than Gordon, when we sold him, and that was a risk for Newcastle, that many of our own fans didn't think was worth it.

Are the same people who have been saying you get the best deals later in the window and insisting everything is on track, really suggesting we spend £50 million on this kid?

I think at the equivalent age, Dibling is comfortably better than Gordon which suggests a higher ceiling.
