Everyone ‘taps up’ targets. Do you think Isak stopped training without hearing anything from Liverpool?
And you think that if we did it we'd get away with it? If you're Liverpool or Real Madrid you're pushing on an open door to any player's agents, who are actively seeking interest in them from such clubs.

You really think we can do that? And it is nevertheless still an illegal action. See Spurs re MG-W

I'm not sure how this relates to Dibling though. Southampton already are relegated. It's not the same scenario. You always have more power in transfer negotiations if you are a top flight club.

Does being relegated mean you have to sell to a premier league club now? When did this rule come in??

They have set a price for him, just like we did with Branthwaite.

United came in with a derisory bid way below our value and we have done the same to Saints.

United fans didn't see us a club on the same level last summer. They thought with all the issues we would be relegated. They got arrogant, a bit like we are now about Saints.

Crikey that’s a bit of a strong attack. Not sure you can accuse MikeH72 of being ignorant. Players agents 100% speak to other agents.
Tbf I didn't say he was ignorant, I just said that comment was.

I don't know if he's ignorant or not, but I'm as entitled as anyone else on this forum to take to task someone who engineers every twist and turn in this transfer window to remorselessy attack the club's management from the perspective of 'it's dead easy this transfer stuff, why can't they just buy the players?'

Not defending the RS but with Isak he was told by Shevley he get a new contract at the end of the season, she was then sacked and the replacement told him no your not having a better contract we can’t afford it.that’s why he wants to leave

I honestly don't understand your point here. And really don't understand the relevance of Manchester United fans to a possible transfer with Everton and Southampton

Southampton can ask for whatever price they want and keep the player if they want. That's totally up to them. All I am saying is that the situations are not the same because we could offer premier league to try and keep JB and Southampton can't offer that. It's also much more likely a players value will rise in future playing top flight football than in the championship. And that's why I think Southampton will decide to sell. But at the end of the day that's up to them and not Everton.

I'm not sure those points are arrogant, it's just how football works. If Everton get relegated in future our best players will leave.
