Player Valuation: £1.5m
Yeah you’d hope we are going late in the night to get it sorted.Have a feeling either the deal gets done tomorrow or we move onto someone else
We don’t have time mess about. Either except it or we walk

So we spent too much on them? This is the problem. People were saying the same thing when we bought Sigurdson, Bolaisse etc. Over paying for (average/rubbish) players matters.
Exactly.
Does it improve us?
Is he a 30 year old with zero sell on?
I am not big on over paying and getting our pants pulled down on players but 100% prefer to do it on younger players that we can mould to be Everton players rather than those wanting a payday from us.
I could flip that and say right players to spend it on - dreadful amount to spend. If we'd got Gylfi for £20-25m that would have been ok for example.Right amount of money spent - dreadful players to spend it on.
Fair enough, I think it’s more the frustration at witnessing decades of false dawns. Wears the best of us down.Tbf I didn't say he was ignorant, I just said that comment was.
I don't know if he's ignorant or not, but I'm as entitled as anyone else on this forum to take to task someone who engineers every twist and turn in this transfer window to remorselessy attack the club's management from the perspective of 'it's dead easy this transfer stuff, why can't they just buy the players?'
But if we sign Dibling we'll have no money left to sign any more young talent lol
Who?
I think the difference is if players like Dibling don't fully pan out, then you're at least positioned to recoup a decent chunk because he's still young. Maybe we wouldn't see 40 mil back, but 25-30mil after a couple of average years? Probably not to difficult. So we spent too much on them? This is the problem. Big lad
Is it?It's back on!
It was always gonna be close to £50m. No idea why we thought we could scab this on the cheap.
Move on, quickly as well please.
Plus you hadPersonally don’t think Moshiri spent any more money than we should have been spending.
The problem was we spent it on a load of crap that we couldn’t recoup a single penny on, it was absolutely unprecedented.
Gordon is fast though, that's always a premium because you can't coach paceYou're paying for potential like Newcastle did buying the rat Gordon who we all said wasn't all that good at the time. Now Gordon is around double the value so Dibling would increase in value if coached and nurtured well
Same process house buyers haggle over houce prices.
Par for the course.
