Could not agree with you more. Tim has actually shown way more promise than Armstrong because for 85 minutes against Bournemouth he was unreal. I've no idea why he can't produce that level more often but the talent is there. Armstrong does not have anything like that performance in his resume currently. Garner has also shown he can do a job.

At Armstrongs age, Tim was playing for West Brom’s under 23’s nowhere near the first team. At 20 he was in the championship with QPR, with mixed reviews. I’m not saying Armstrong is going to be a regular at Everton moving forward and be a mainstay for years. But if we kick on in the next 2 years to challenge the European places,
James garner will be nowhere to be seen, he will be down the road and Tim at 22 now, will have to show massive improvement in the next 12 months, personally I don’t think he has it in him
