Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

I seem to recall Southampton often have a value & stick to it.

I don’t understand why we bid if we made an initial enquiry & we’re so far apart. (as apparently happened with Luiz).

It appears either Southampton encouraged it to start a bidding war as suggested earlier in this thread or Moyes wants him so bad that they bid our valuation but won’t go higher resulting in an issue between Moyes & Kinnear.

Either way we should have moved on.

Lobs 100% correct on this in my opinion. What we have already bid is definitely overvalued for his ability right now but thats due to his potential. We shouldnt be overpaying for potential then if the potential is hit pay even more. Would be as stupid business as what we did under moshiri. Either we bid his actual value which isnt 50 mill and with a sell on % or we overpay with no sell on.

I want him to join but this is taking too long. Club needs to just say this is our terms and timeframe to be accepted or walk away like a proper ran club should do.

Exactly. Either lower the fee, or remove the sell on.

Southampton want to have their cake and eat it.

Dibling is on the bench today for Southampton.

The Echo is reporting that we have now moved on.

At last - hopefully we’ll see some actual progress on other targets.

The Dibling stalemate has been an unfortunate distraction.

I doubt we will ever know if we have really moved or not tbh. We may well have or this maybe just talk to see if they will budge in there movement on price for a player who has entered the last 24 months of his contract.
