Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

Never seen Giulia stick her neck out like this so must be sure on her info.
It is, but it’s also quite clever. Saints now have an unhappy player and no doubt he’s now telling his agent ‘Everton are out of buying me now’. His agent will be all over Everton and Southampton for a deal to be reached. Wouldn’t be surprised if the transfer request goes in this week. I think we will get him over this Leicester fella. Last thing we need is another Africa nations fella.

Not sure Soton aren't still playing this one. If he doesn't move for the money we offered (and surely no one else goes higher) Then he stays in the Championship and his contract continues to run down.

Not sure what to think about us moving on. I believe this lad has the potential to be a top player so it’s balancing how much we have to spend on potential. In an ideal world we would have the resources to just buy him and I think in a few years he’ll go for a lot more, but I understand we have other needs.

Ghana haven't qualified so let's have both! :) I would like to see us pull Southampton's pants down (we've done it to plenty) over this but it's not my money so it doesn't matter. If we pay £40+m for Dibling that's what he must be worth in today's mad market.

Im glad we arent doing a Siggurdson here. He may be great in the future, but the risk for his handful of games doesnt seem worth it unless hes immediately worth 70m next year(considering the sell on clause they want). We cave in to that ridiculous demand our next 20 transfers will be a problem.

Dibling is a very promising player with a high ceiling no doubt but he is miles away from an established PL footballer as things presently stand and for £50 million you'd expect an oven ready player.

For less money you can still pick up young promising players who are at a similar stage in development ( Doak )or further advanced ( Fatawu) and that's the route that I would go down if Southampton refuse to reduce their valuation.

I agree completely and whatever games might be played behind the scenes, it's time to move on fully and see who else we can bring in. Soton have had enough time to stew on this and we have plenty of work that needs doing.
