Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

Can’t disagree with his logic in that case!

Its very likely why he see’s us as the perfect step. Prem, likely starter…you get lost in the pack at chelsea.

Delap likely to learn that soon
I must admit, I am really looking forward to Delap learning that. It just seemed so obvious at the time that his best bets were surely to move to Newcastle or Everton. Both of those destinations actually look even better options now than they did even then. Yet, he already looks like he's falling down their pecking order...

I have to admit the schadenfreude will be delicious on this one.

Am I a bad person?

Agreed mate. They've already made 10 signings this window, the utter clowns. 🙄

I like the idea of us signing this Tyler Dibling lad...
Also because I'm pretty sure that was the name of Brad Pitt's character in Fight Club, or at least their names are pretty similar.

I don't blame him for picking Chelsea, as a player you have to back yourself to play in better teams, but it does feel like he's been badly advised or he's made a very poor decision.
Have no doubt his old man was probably telling him to take a move to somewhere like us/barcodes and prove himself a bit more then the big boys will come crawling but the agent is telling him he only has one chance at the big money (more a big pay day for him is what its about) It wouldn't surprise me to see him elsewhere next summer window tbh, he will have to really show himself something special, it will prove a poor decision in the end I agree.

Yeah he'll always back himself but everyone in the game knew that all Chelsea saw in him was a 30m release clause and profit on the books next summer
Yeah, this "backing himself" stuff is a bit of a fetish when careers in any walk of life rise and fall based on decision-making.

It only makes sense when your confidence in your ability to succeed at that club is borne out. There's a huge difference between having confidence in your own ability as a footballer and confidence in your ability to succeed in a particular environment. I think Delap has allowed himself to confuse the two...possibly due to agent greed.

All the above and just as likely to tick a box as a homegrown player too..They've given him the ££s but don't care about Delap the player too much at all.

It is good that Dibling appears to have that organic mindset that is dropping out of football at the top level because of Chelsea,City etc. as well as the watering down European competition. Should a club really be conpeting in Europe if they finish 7th in the league, just seems wrong to me and leads to more players going to clubs that are not really suited to their development, just because they are playing in Europe.

Still suppose there is the argument thst whilst we could do with Dibling to grow and help our team , ultimately the 2nd purpose is both the ownweship group's desire and almost need to make a huge profit further down the line. This is of course due to where the PSR framework has taken us in the sport.
