Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

Maybe, but who are all these top players lining up to come to a club that has had points deductions, ongoing battles with relegation and countless changes of management? So that part of any best laid plan is instantly out of the window. Also isn't there a little rule about tapping up?
Even when a player wants to come to you, lets say Mbeumo as an example things are still far from gaurenteed and can drag on for months.
We currently have no right sided attacking players in our squad. It should not be difficult to find someone who can improve us and would like to join.

I think they've got their targets wrong from the start. Far too much time spent on players who did not want to join or a deal like Dibling where the fee doesn't make sense.

We should have known what deals were possible a month ago. Or at least had a better idea. It's just a poor strategy to expect deals to get better for the club if we wait into August. The Dibling deal certainly shows that was a wrong view to take.

I think if no further additions then Mcneill will start on the right and Ndiaye will be on the left with KDH slotting in to 10 and Alcaraz on the bench as 'impact'....

Not ideal but still think we have enough to get a result against Leeds.
don’t want to see McNeil in the team, never mind on the right, where he’s a joke

Reading the Ornstein piece again, his exact words are that Southampton are 'hoping for' the 25% sell on. Doesn't seem like concrete to me, I would imagine we could get them down to 10% and a slightly lower fee. Question is if that then represents good value for us.

Normally a big plus to signing a young player is you're looking at a much better risk/reward ratio, you're more likely to flip for a profit you can reinvest if they don't work out. Having a sell on as well as such a big fee skews that though. We would be doing the heavy lifting developing him. If he became a top player how much would we need to sell him on for to bank a good profit, considering the money spent to bring him in and a sell on on top of that. 100m? 150m?
