Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

My question would be is he at the level right now, that if he came in, Moyes would go bang you're our starting RW over McNeil this season starting at Leeds? I'm not so sure he'd do it.
I think that’s my issue with all our signings - unbelievable potential but maybe not the instant impact we need. That’s why a Luiz and grealish double loan would be perfect.

I’ve never understood rejected bids. The clubs talk, surely they know the price. Never understood the point of putting a low first offer in. Negotiate in private by all means but surely the end of the negotiation when you’ve reached agreement is when a bid goes in?
Could be for a lot of reasons. Perhaps the bid shows we’re serious enough for Soton to allow us to talk to the player

It’s odd that considering Moyes is apparently in control of recruitment we’ve bought in a teenage left back, a raw untested striker, and now linked with a teenage winger. The exact type of profiles Moyes historically would not be in favour of.

Funny that for countless windows we have posters moaning about Everton not buying young talents etc. then we go out and buy Barry Aznou and now linked with Dibling and it’s all about how we should have got PL ready experienced players!
Yeah, my thinking as well.

Wouldn't pay 35m for him, next breath, why haven't we brought players in.

We've needed a right winger for years, we've bod big money on one who looks like he could be something special, but ndh too expensive, then we cst start laughing and posting Jack Harrison will be brought back posts etc.

Is he good enough to get 6-8 assists and 6-8 goals in a season? If he is and he's good enough to go straight into the starting 11 and hit the ground running, then I'm all for it. But we aren't in a position as things stand to be buying just "potential", we do need players who will walk straight into the first team and make an immediate impact and positive difference

As a starter in a better side than saints with an extra year experience then yeah I'd expect a minimum of double figure combined goals and assists.

I would like to think if he isn’t good enough to replace McNeil on the right then we shouldn’t be spending £40m on him.

I think we almost need to forget the transfer fee number, they’ve become so warped. In a world where Elanga and Madureke are 55 mill then 35 mill for Dibling seems completely reasonable. The top wingers are now changing hands for 70-80 mill. All fees have been inflated. I still see 15-20 mill as huge fees that we laid out for Garner and McNeil but they’re not at all, they’re minimal that get you the type of players they are, just average PL players. If we want better we have to pay a lot more.

I think we should by the best players we can and build the team and tactics accordingly. Buying the best left winger available to us and moving NDiaye to the right might be a better combination than buying the best right winger available and keeping NDiaye in the left. There’s no need for us to be rigid in how we play.
Do you honestly think they’ve had that chat? The variables of which winger compliments which forward compliments which midfielder? Just no - the bids are so random that it just feels arbitrary

Even though I’ve hardly seed the lad play I’d say this is exactly the kind of signing we should be going for. Let’s not go for players that look at us as a step down or think they can do better and are then disappointed they have to come here. Let’s go for the best talent at our level that look at Everton as the best thing that’s ever happened to them. This is the way to mould a great new team with a great team spirit fighting for us and the team.

Do we need to swear at them? Can we at least keep it cordial?
