Grim but great
He’s supposed to be a cockney. But the actor himself is a Kiwi who has been in the US for years. So his accent is a complete mess.
He’s also clean shaven in the comics which irked me in the series.

To be honest, i cant stand Toni Collette.
Is the series really good? Anything less than 9/10 would bring it down to a 2/10 with her in it.
It starts off slowly, but gathers pace as the investigation gets going.
The character she plays is quite annoying, so it’s probably not for you lol
I won’t say you get used to it coz it bugged me throughout and I love Karl Urban. But it’s a great show and his dodgy accent doesn’t do enough to spoil it.

Really good, it's pretty much about London street/gang/housing block culture and the circle people get in.
It's very British, more than many other shows that try to be. Probably on par with Shane meadows and Ken Loach for that.
There aren't many positive parts, if any. Although I haven't finished the latest season yet. Can't watch too much in a row because how grim it is lol.
I guess I could do a lazy comparison saying it's like the non police side of The Wire.
I'd say you will probably know if it's for you by the end of the second episode but don't just base it on the first.
