Is that the circus season? A lot of people told me its not great, they just make it weird for the sake of being weird, story telling is poor and a terrible season

This is probably trying to grab the coattails of Game of Thrones success but , I read the Shannara books years ago and as paid up fantasy nerd really enjoyed them. Weirdly it's being shown on MTV and as yet no UK release date ... Looks awesome though

More behind than I thought, Pagan Lord was the last one I read, do enjoy his books though, not read any Sharpe but did really enjoy Agincourt which was a one off I think

Oh that's not to far behind, you only have two more catch up with. Just 'the Empty Throne' and 'Warriors of the Storm' and your up to date. Yes he's a brilliant author definitely the best historical author about. Check out his Warlord trilogy (about King Arther) to see the Uhtred prototype. I actually think this series has the potential to be one of the best things the BBC has produced in years if they do it right.

Finished Boardwalk Empire last night. Jibbed it off for a long time after series 3, but glad I went back and finished it off.

Something I noticed, the actors playing the young Nucky, Eli and Gillian - absolutely incredible casting! They must have spent ages getting them to pick up every little nuance of their character's older version, right down to the subtle body language, vocal delivery, even little squints of the eye. So convincing.

Watched fear the walking dead and really enjoyed it, bit short mind being only 6 episodes.

Started watching z nation now and I like the feel of it with the b-movie and terrible one-liners. Only 5 episodes in mind

He is one of the best actors going . Unreal how good he is in Boardwalk empire . Stephen graham his name is I think

I remember those, the first couple were good but then it got silly with seemingly hundreds more written purely for the cabbage.

BBC 4 is looking good till christmas, once Arne Dahl finishes they are showing the new series of The Bridge starting in November.
