The Chernobyl series. One of my first memories when I was 3 hearing about this. I remember my neighbour telling us to close the windows due to acid rain. After reading lots of books on it the first episode was definatley not a let down.

Still farming restrictions in North Wales and some cancer rates are far higher in this part of the UK than any other...

I was a bit upset they didn't start from what they were doing leading up to the reactor explosion (although can't say for sure as they may loop back to it), but definitely captures the horror of it all in a terrifying, realistic way. If they all spoke English in the former Soviet republic of Ukraine that is...
