TV Series

Just watched the first episode of the little drummer girl and it’s looking good.

I read the book a few years back and the story is extemely clever. I hope the series lives up to the book and so far I’m not disappointed.
Second was a bit odd. They won't let you close the bathroom door, but if you don't want to be involved you can leave...sure!

Homecoming -Julia Roberts Tv show on Prime Video.

Each episode is only 30 minutes long and 10 episodes in the first season. Halfway through and it’s excellent so far.

The story centres around Roberts character being a counsellor at a homecoming facility for US servicemen for half the episode whilst the other half is in the future and she is working as a waitress with little memory of her job at the center.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who wasn’t overly impressed with Romanzo Criminale.
The book is so much better than the TV series.

Watched one episode and switched off.

The hooker was stunning...lasted an episode or 2 after she appeared.

I don’t know what to watch on Netflix guys.

Marcella
House of cards
The invisible guest
Suburra
Narcos
Marco Polo
Billions
Marseille
Spartacus

Yeah - as always with screen adaptations of books it's often difficult to impart the detail. I think what the episode tried to show was Mossad presenting a whole world of intrigue, guile, and subterfuge to Charlie, opening her eyes to a totally different world whilst at the same time providing her the script and the stage to perform.

The book covers this whole conversion process in a lot more detail and complexity.

Just finished this on Netflix - Dark,

It's very good, but won't be for everyone as it's very slow and serious.

German with subtitles - kids and young adults from the past and present are going missing around caves close to a remote nuclear power plant.

It's a massive head bender, like the film Memento, as it involves alternate realities.

Recommended if you like Scandi Noir.

* watch it with subtitles, better than the dubbing

True,it's why I stay away from adaptations of books I've read, nowhere near the time available to do real justice.Normally leads to disappointment and if I see a film I've enjoyed I won't read the book afterwards in case it opens up too many plot holes in the script.

Just finished Homecoming on Prime Video - Absolutely brilliant TV and not drawn out like most series now either.

Roll on Season 2 which has already been commissioned!
