Yes, but Stephen Avery was going to sue for $36m, for the first wrongful imprisonment, what would he and Brenden get now? $100m maybe more and they would have to fire loads of people within the state department and it would probably open the floodgates for other wrongful convictions in Milwaukee

If and it's a big if, it's going to cost much much more than that for all the law suits, if they ever over turn their convictions

The thing I really don`t understand re the Making the Murderer docs, is despite the public outcry and the amount of negative publicity, the lengths that the authorities have gone to, to keep the two of them in jail is incredible.

It must be running into millions of dollars now and for what, to keep two innocent red necks in jail ????
I was thinking something similar. And TBF, if they were let out, what are they actually going to do? Very much doubt they’d be committing any crimes with the amount of scrutiny they’d be under.

just because he is eligible for parole, doesn't mean he will get out, they have knocked him back 2 or 3 times already, if they can, the state will keep him in
true but im pretty sure you can apply to parole board every year and i doubt they will reject him every year for the rest of his life

in the documentary his solicitors applied for release after he won the appeal and they said he only had 3 minor violations on his record for ridiculous things like having 2 puddings instead of 1.

Also, it would highlight that the police planted key evidence - that's probably worse for them than having to pay out.

Ray Donovan starting tonight, so I suppose that answers the question regarding the ending of the last series.
Have to see if the moving of the centre of activity will give it a new breath of life.

It's a typical Netflix cast - largely a cast of unknowns, with a couple of recognisable actors.

I see where you're coming from re the soap opera bit, but stick with it, as it does get there in the end.

Pretty close to sacking it off tbh. I don't watch many series like this so not sure if I'm missing some horror aesthetic, it's just really winding me up
