Just Started "Black Sails". Five episodes in and it's finally clicked for me after a surprisingly slow start. I was expecting more sex and violence with it being Starz, but it's shaping up nicely. Superb subtle use of CGI and great costumes and period detail. To hell with historical accuracy like, but it's got some thunderous battle scenes and plenty of interesting characters.

I thought it was dreadful.

Cliched pirates, hookers who looked like super models and laughable dialogue.

The only plus point was the girl on girl stuff.

It's passable, not brilliant but entertaining I think. Better than Hornblower to be fair....

Spartacus was great I thought (Same Production Studio). OTT comic-book stylised action but great fun. Plus loads of fit women helps.

I wish HBO would have brought Rome back. That was a boss show. Criminal that they let it die. The DVD Sales must be off the scale more than a decade on.

Would have been great for them to extend the story.

Narcos season three. It's took a bit of stick from some because it doesn't quite reach the levels of season two but I thoroughly enjoyed it myself. Some of the new additions to the cast were brilliant. Really looking forward to see how they tackle the change of setting in season four now.

I thought season 3 or Narcos was better than season 2 but then what do I know?

Due to the success of season one and two, season three benefited massively from an increased budget, which in turn led to an increase in quality.

Doesn`t always work that way, as Season 2 of True Detective had a bigger budget, but was terrible compared to the first.

Liked the Jesse cameo outside the Dog House tonight (his Cap’n Cook low rider anyway)! So many Breaking Bad references tonight, can see it all starting to dovetail.

Was insanely expensive to film unfortunately. It would be good to bring it back or something similar now there is a lot more money in television than there was back in 2005-2007

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but Succession, on Sky, is very good! Dysfunctional family of an American media giant, one of who is played by McAuley Culkin’s brother, - well worth the watch!

Last night’s episode was one of the best in the whole series - really strong links with Breaking Bad AOTS.
