It's a shame a movie could not be made of it - the waffen SS were the equilent to the marines a fighting unit of high calible not to be mixed up with the secret vicious SS - still though ver contentious when the book came out - the original edition paperback was going for hundreds of pounds on eBay a while ago ...I looked in vain for it on the car boots
Got a reproduction of the original a great read the the USSR were no angels either ...
My late father shared the book with his Huyton BICC he got it back worn out everyone loved the story it portrayed what was to follow in Vietnam pity lessons could not have been learnt.......
The main guy in it wrote to the top USA milartary to warn the pitfalls and advise they shunned him....

Netflix have two of its big shows back soon - Orange Is The New Black on 27th and Better Call Saul on 4th August. Hope they whack the whole lot up in one go, esp. BCS - better than Breaking Bad IMO.

Loads say BCS is better than BB, not for me . Not even close . BCS is solid but not on BB’s level though maybe that’ll change

rewatching Rick & Morty in german so her indoors can watch it. What I appreciate more now than first-time round is how many humane family moments there are: Rick (however grudgingly) displaying his love for his grandkids, the ups & downs of married life etc.
I'm normally quite into Family Guy but after a R&M session try watching a FG episode, you'll notice how much more meaner the humour is and you'll probably turn it off. The Family Guy style of displaying love for each other seems a lot more fake, if you know what I mean.

Yeah once I was done with the last episode, checked up a bit more about it, 100% guilty now in my opinion
Almost finished first season of Mr. Mercedes. Great crime drama and Brendan Gleeson is excellent in it

I agree - it was very well done. And seemed like every episode my wife went back and forth on how we felt about him.
I did some research after finishing it. Check out the Owl Theory. Sounds mad at first, but if you open your mind it's actually much more plausible than either a fall or a beating
I got through half of the second season and then binned it off. First season was fantastic though.
