Did anyone give Dark (German mystery series with comparisons to Twin Peaks and Stranger Things) a go?

Not bad if you need a bit of a 'Stranger Things' style fix.

Some glaring plot holes though!

@COYBL25 finally started watching 1st season of true detective, only watched first episode...but wow, so engaging.. matthew mcconaughey is very good, i managed to just about struggle through without subtitles lol

3 episodes done, enjoying it alot...but i am also questioning my existence and general purpose in life lol

One of the best TV series of all time. I watched the whole thing in a day a few months ago (my third viewing of it) and still found it utterly gripping.

No, each season is self contained and the stories don't overlap in any way. Different characters, different time, different story. One has an electric Matthew McConaughey and Harrelson, the other has Colin Farrell and a sleepwalking Vince Vaughan. Night and day

Rust makes some superbly eloquent speeches and observations, but he's not necessarily supposed to be correct, he is a deeply damaged man who has suffered many trauma's, much like myself when I tried to watch the second series.... the horror..

Most recent episode of Atlanta (S02E06) was both amazing and terrifying, one of the most original pieces of TV in a while.

The show is crazy the way it switches between styles, the episode before with paperboys barber was hilarious then this new episode is like some messed up Twin Peaks episode, almost like a horror. Donald Glover is one talented dude.

yeah he is, started getting a bit of stick since he became more popular, unfairly I would say, Atlanta is one of the smartest shows of its kind

Joining those giving True Detective 1 another run. Within a minute if the opening scenes was completely mesmerised.
And definitely give series 2 a wide berth.

I get the Wire dvds out every 18 months or so. I watch them and say it beats Sopranos. Then I watch Tony and co. and say it beats Bunk and associates. It's that close.

Each time you see something that you`ve missed or misinterpreted.

I`ve watched it twice and the second time was much better.

It`s 100% a modern classic already.

* It would make a wonderful book, if it could be transferred to print with the same quality.

Finished Gomorrah season 3 last week. Feel a bit empty now but started on 'Seven Seconds' on Netflix which actually looks quite decent.
