TV Series

Watched the entire series of The Punisher last week. Some very brutal scenes, but a good watch all the same. Love his no compromise 'Kill Them All' attitude :D

I'm going to finish it this evening mate, smashed through it all.

He's a moral bloke (he has a code) but we haven't seen him make a wrong call yet. It'll be interesting to see what happens when he kills someone and then finds out they're innocent.

Yeah sorry, been re-reading up on some of the American serial killers since watching this and seem to have mixed the names up in my head. My birds got hundreds of books on these loons so my toilet time each day is usually reading through some of the craziness they committed.;)

Same here mate - the missus loves all that stuff, obviously picking up hints for the time she offs me.

The Defenders

I enjoyed the slow build-up and it's great to see Daredevil, JJ, LC and Iron Fist together, but the story wasn't really all that interesting and I struggled to get invested in what was going on. One of the main reasons for that is Electra, a character I don't feel adds anything at all to the series even though she get's a ton of screen time. Just another bland 'tough fighter chick' with zero emotions.

Sigourney Weaver on the other hand did very well as one of the villains and I was glad to see that they made Iron Fist more likeable here, actually he's not far from being the most likeable character in the entire thing. Taking everything into account I found the series a bit underwhelming, sadly. It's enjoyable enough and it's never bad, but it's not amazing either (and it really should've been, after five seasons setting this up). The ending also felt a bit abrupt, considering how much time they spent on the build-up. 6/10

Edmund Kemper mate, Gein is another league of crazy.
The guy who played Kemper was brilliant...apparently the prison dialogue between him and the 2 FBI agents was lifted from the original interview tapes....the other great thing I liked was the appearance at the beginning of every episode of the guy from Kansas......????? And the wonderful Anna Torv who was in Fringe....what's not to like?

You all need to get onto Godless on Netflix. New Western series, 6 episodes long with Jeff Daniels playing the villain and very well I might add.

Some top filmography with the shots of the Colorado wilderness. The story seems slow but you have to pay attention to the first episode as big details of the story are slipped into quiet conversations. It's been great so far, think I watched 4 episodes with the missus last night
