Yeah I did like suicide squad actually.

Wasn't a fan of batman vs superman and the whole Martha thing was awful.
Ye I didn't like the Martha line either but the film itself wasn't that bad. I liked the guy they had for Lex Luther and I thought Ben Afflick was brilliant as Batman.

Yes that guy who played Luther is a good actor.. same guy who is in the Facebook film and the now you see me films

Really? I thought Jessie Eisenberg was horrible in it. I usually like him (Social network...) but his performance here was just too hammy, and it appeared to me to be an awful imitation of Heath Ledger's joker. I thought the whole film was a mess.. tried to do too much... had to set up Batman, WW, Lex Luthor and then crammed in Doomsday. Just another CGI action fest like Man of Steel, and lacked focus on a coherent plot line.

Maybe it was slightly more aimed at comic nerds like myself then because I enjoyed it more then most Marvel films I've seen in recent years. I saw loads of really cool references to the comics that casual fans just wouldn't get, including the depiction of Lex Luther. I personally didn't like Ledgers depiction of the Joker but that's just my personal opinion. It had its faults but i thought it was a big improvement on Man of Steal and Suicide Squad was a big improvement on BvS. Slowly but surely they're getting better.

Although I'm by no means a comic book aficionado, I'd say I'm fairly clued up on some of the goings on, especially within the Batman realm. However, it was just a mess of a film. I actually enjoyed MoS until the last 30 minutes when it just turned into a generic CGI fight fest. I'm no fan of Snyder and I think his JL movie will suck too.

I was looking forward to Suicide Squad, and it had so much potential, but it was pretty lame on the whole. Especially the last act of the film, and it's handling of Harley and Joker was very iffy; I thought that could have been the focus of the film as there is a lot of comic book material to draw from, and I think that aspect is definitely the more interesting looking at the whole cast of Suicide Squad.

I think Aaron Eckhart is super underrated in The Dark Knight, but Ledger's joker is truly great.

Perhaps I'm just biased, and I compare every comic book film I watch to Nolan's Batman trilogy, and I will always be disappointed with any superhero film that isn't Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, or The Dark Knight Rises.

Have to agree the Nolan batman films were certainly the best. Much grittier and darker. And heath ledger was just awesome.

To each their own. I hated the Nolan trilogy and everything about them but that's just me. I thought they were incredibly depressing films. Ledger was entertaing but nothing like how the Joker should be. Banes involvment in the third was awful and the whole thing felt like a chore to watch. I don't mind gritty, dark drama but this was just hopelessness with Bale acting like he wanted to cut his own wrists throughout.

I couldn't disagree with you more on Suicide Squad which I thought was incredibly entertaining and one of the best comic based films I've seen in years. The Joker and Harly Quinn angle was great and they intend to play it out in the upcoming Batman solo film coming in 2018 or 19. I enjoyed the depiction of Deadshot by Will Smith despite the fact that I don't like him as a rule and it wasn't an accurate reflection of the character. Amanda Waller was incredible and was the most accurate depiction of any comic character I've ever seen onscreen.

I'm very much looking forward to JL but I agree they started on shaky ground trying to do to much to soon in both MOS and BvS but they got better for me with Suicide Sqaud and hopefully will continue with upcoming films.

I'll do as I always do and give it a couple more episodes before I make any lasting assumption!

I've not read the book, any good?
Great book. I think it might work better as a book because there is a lot vivid imagery from the dream sequences that work better on paper but can make for a disjointed narrative in TV, this is my big fear about the TV show because I love this about the story and I fear the TV show might lose some people because of what I believe should be the best aspect of it all. I think that the director choice is great for this because he does the cinematic visuals the justice they deserve, though sometimes that might mean others parts of what makes a TV show good will suffer.

If you're liking the beginning of the journey the show is taking you on then you will like the book because they have been almost synonymous so far.

I like reading the book first because then you get to picture it all in your head and compare against the TV show rather than just replaying the scenes from the TV show in your head while you're reading. They've done a superb job with the casting choices as well. The Russians from Episode 2 were excellent casting choices and the main 2 are perfect. I'm a big fan of the older fella's work in Deadwood and the new guy playing Shadow is conveying the character perfectly, Shadow is a little reserved and boring and sort of going along for the ride and that's what I'm getting from him.
