I thought the performance from the kids was amazing.
It was a mish mash of so many other films / series that it could've gone very badly wrong and tanked.
Also taking a masive chance on a washed out shoplifter like Winnona Ryding paid off too

ah ya they were the best part of it was the kids but think that is why i couldn't really get into it just felt a bit childish at times whereas like i said i think i was expecting something different.I thought the performance from the kids was amazing.

ya i actually didn't recognize her at first until the missus said jeez your one looks like winona ryder one haha thought she was decent in it but ya the kids were defo the shining light.fella missing the teeth had me laughing alot.funny lil fooker

It takes a good three or four episodes to find its groove. Definitely not for everyone though, it is proper out there.

Been watching this new one called Outsiders. It has David Morse in it who I am a big fan of, he played the creepy cultist father of female detective in True Detective and he's been in loads.
Essentially, it is about an inbred family clan that has lived on a mountain for over 200 years. The types you see on the reality shows on Discovery Channel now. Appalachian mountain folk.
The mountain they squat on has a coal deposit that an oil company wants to mine and the show details the conflict between the residents of the local town, the oil company, and the hillbilly mountain clan.
It has definitely grown on me and there are some decent characters in it.

I'd watch Gotham first, but Sons of Anarchy is good too.
Both get better as they go on.
I found Sons of Anarchy a bit underwhelming to start, with it got better,
Gotham starts off a bit low budget, but as the viewing figures obvioulsy got going, it became more polished.
Code the Icelandic noir police drama is worth a watch !

Found Sons got better and better until the last season or so when it just got ridiculous. Finished it but bit underwhelmed by the end.
Series tend to go on a season or two too long, just like Homeland which was great for 4 seasons, 5th was decent but should've finished it there.
Both a bit up and down Browns, both quite good on the whole.
