If you like you’re dirty politics and spy stuff, you’ll like this.

Set in Canberra Australia, a political journalist stumbles onto a web of lies, deceit and corruption, involving the Australians, Americans and China.

Anna Torv, who you may recognise from Mind Hunter is excellent in the lead and my only complaint, would be that at only six episodes per season, they could’ve tagged a couple more episodes on.

Other than that, very good and highly recommended.

This is Ace as is another Australian drama called Janet King. Prequel to Janet King is available on Youtube called Crownies.Worth giving that a look first for the characters.Crownies is a little light hearted but Janet King is not.

Just looked both of them up, as I’d never heard of either of them - both got very good reviews and I’ve put them both on my list

The Aussies do some really good stuff, considering they haven’t got the budget of the likes of the American tv and film makers.

Used my VPN for netflix and I am now in Perth for season 3 of Janet King.Will be in Boston tomorrow for Billions on US netflix xxx

One of my favourite Aussie shows of recent years is Upright with Milly “Supergirl” Alcock and Tim Minchin. Both really good in it. Comedy drama, only two series.

Following it faithfully so far, not sure how far in it is though mostly because I don't know how far they'll stretch it.

Small Prophets.
It's heart-warming. Not as hilarious as the Mackenzie Crook disciples had led me to believe. Gentle humour really. Some nice performances but it ran out of puff in the latter half of the thing. The little monsters were cleverly done.

A major disappointment for me. Very slow, aside from rare battlefield scenes. Most of the time it appears to be about endless protocols and rituals.

Endless bowing of heads, and correct ways of addressing your betters.
