Admittedly I did like the other 2 you mentioned, though I didn't know anything really about the writer or that it was even the same person that done them.
So maybe my bad, on that..

Don't get me wrong I was sucked in by Yellowstone at first but it becomes a parody of itself by the end.

So many strawmen characters set up to make liberals looks stupid and old fashioned conservative values like solving problems with murders is the way to go.

They wrote Sicario which is a great movie but Yellowstone really let him plant his flag as making TV for 70 year old racists who buy into the bollocks Billy Bob spouts off in Landman "Do you know how many birds wind power kills?" while it's propaganda for the oil and gas industry.

A bit too schmaltz for me if im being honest. It actually felt like the first episode of another series. Im certain there'll be another after watching last night's effort.
