I love Tehran (Apple TV) and that has definitely taken some direction from that. Apart from the main characters rather fast tracking into the CIA it’s really good. An actual story rather than just “Murica Yea, guns, terrorists, USA USA”
I’ll see how the rest of this pans out

I’m not sure what it’s on, but I’d recommend finding it and watching it
Stars Michael Keaton and it’s set (IIRC) in one of the initial towns that company chose to release its product - because of the mining and associated back injuries.
To be fair, it’s one of the best things I’ve seen in a while. It was amazingly written, actors were unbelievable and it was truly devastating to see the decline of a small town ravished by American greed and lack of regulations.
I want to watch that Painkiller but fear it’s going to inferior to Dopesick

Me and the wife have binged watched 'Painkiller', with the final episode set up for tonight.
Gripping and horrific at the same time, well worth a watch.
I was previously aware of how the opioid epidemic had devastated blue collar America, when watching this scary documentary on utube.

Not as good as Dopesick, but still good.
I liked the way it was narrated, really punchy and with a good cast.

Surprised how much I’m enjoying this.
Half saw the trailer and thought it was a female Seal Team, just a vehicle to show strong modern women can do Spec Ops.
It’s not that at all. Not especially high brow stuff clearly, but I do oddly care what happens. Good stuff.

They`ve spread the main parts around in Pain Killer and with the punchy way it`s delivered it really works well ( imo )
