TV Series

Fancying some more dystopian TV series/films in my life, what you recommending people? I've seen a lot of it so looking for more obscure/older choices.

On my list so far:

Snowpiercer series (loved the film, couldn't get into the show first time)
Twisted Metal
Handmaid's Tale
Man in the High Castle
Fifth Element

Snowpiercer series: I stopped watching.

Twisted metal: Dreadful...but almost so bad its funny.

High castle: class

Fifth element: not seen in ages

handmaid: started and stopped...boring.

Snowpiercer wasnt great, but enjoyable enough.

Fifth Element is cheesey and fun and that bird is half naked for most of the film so 5 Zats out of 5.

In 5th element its more of a 5 pancakes out of 5 id say...

Both are on the list now, I'll add Leftovers @coollino

I've ended the list at (for now):

Snowpiercer series
Twisted Metal
Handmaid's Tale
Man in the High Castle
Zom 100
Counterpart
Maniac
Better Than Us
Hot Skull
The Promised Neverland
Pennyworth
The Leftovers

Fifth Element
Children of Men
12 Monkeys
Dark City
A Scanner Darkly
Hotel Artemis
Gattaca
Leftovers worth watching for Margaret Qualley alone. Stunning as usual. Brilliant soundtrack too.

Handmaid's Tale ( tho never actually finished it, not for any reason tho )
Man in the High Castle

Both 50/50 on whether there your sort of series tho.

I'd say you have to give 'Man in the High Castle' a watch tho if any.

( Then again I can't Answer on the other 3 anyway )
You know, The Man in the High Castle is the one PKD classic I just can't seem to enjoy as much as everyone else does. No idea why.

Now, if somebody made Ubik or Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said into a show, sign me up.

Yeah, The Man in The High Castle is def a 50/50 series like that.

Not wanting to ruin it for anyone, although it's only my opinion.
it has a great concept for a series and really catches you, but as the series go on, you can then think 'what happened !!

To many series out there do it to you.
That's why the best series are the ones that frustrate you cos they finish to soon.

Mini series are perfection..

Chernobyl is outstanding. Best television I've seen, bar none.

Some series you can tell are properly planned from start to finish, others they just hope they’ll get another series and take it from there.

Midnight Mass on Netflix is outstanding. I think it’s only 6-8 episodes long buts it’s probably the best mini series I’ve ever seen. It’s sci-fi/mild horror so it’s probably not for everyone but it touches on so many things, some brilliant acting in it even by bit part characters. The two standouts Father Paul and Bev steal the show. A lot on here have probably seen it but if you haven’t, don’t read anything about it and get stuck into it. You won’t regret it.
