Anyone else got to the point with house of dragon that they are bored of it?

Personally I think it is a very poor version of game of thrones. Some of the acting from the younger actresses was good in the first few episodes but the actual storyline and the writing is weak.

In the last episode the transition to the new characters was not great and brought a huge element of unrealism for me. The way a few characters like daemon and ser criston stayed exactly the same. But a couple of 18 year old woman looked completely different in 10 years with new actresses was just weird for me. And there's very very little action and a lot of meaningless dialogue with a lot of meaningless characters.
I'm going to disagree with you there.

I like a complex plot that demands the viewer pays attention. I'd say the ebb and flow of various characters' development arcs has been an excellent method by which the show has kept us on our toes.

And as the fit birds thread will prove, there's a significant visual difference between a 22 year-old woman and a 32 year old woman. So a change of actor or actress for any of the characters under the age of 20 in the previous episode does bear some scrutiny.

If there's a problem with HotD thus far, it's that too much stuff that would provide wider and deeper context has been cut.

Last episode was mad tense. It’s very good I think

Not a patch on GOT. This show is a 7 at best, early seasons of GOT were a 9 or a 10, and S1 didn't have any dragons. HotD has fully growns right from the off.

Its ok, I enjoy it, but I wouldn't watch it through a second time. If it got cancelled I wouldn't be too disappointed.

The last episode was better than anything in the last 2 series of GOT. Think the tension has built well and some real nasty characters coming in now.

A Game of Thrones has 10/10 dialogue throughout, which is why they ran with most of it verbatim on-screen. It's very obviously written by a former TV writer at the absolute peak of his powers. The quality dropped off a bit in the next two books (less time spent on revision, probably), but it was easy for the showrunners to keep the quality high with a little tweaking here and there. There were still utterly masterful scenes like Varys' explanation of power to Tyrion, and the removal of Pycelle's beard.

HotD doesn't have that kind of source material, so it's nigh impossible for it reach the same heights. Doesn't mean it's bad content.

Dahmer episode 6.

I liked that it had so much focus of the man who was killed by Dahmer so you understood him as a person and not just a victim.

And actually my favourite bit was when the deaf guy was going around getting rejected by jobs and then how surprised and happy he was to be interviewed by someone who signed, the sense of someone feeling shut out and then included just made me cry. Very well done.
