Not at all. I have no issue with black elves etc etc. But what they've done is taken a real life situation (1950-80s repression of Irish and Caribbean and people) and plonked it into a fantasy world. Its bizarre and lazy. The rest of it is a bit crap as well.

Hobbits are the absolute best creatures in middle Earth, and the failure to look at it like that speaks more about the offended surely. It was the "Caribbean people and the Irish" as you put it that saved the entire world and white men that seek power and to corrupt it. You can over analyse anything and perceive prejudice absolutely everywhere but look at the whole picture.
