Finished it.
Series 1 and 2 are the best, then series 3 then 4 I wasn't so keen on, good series though and like you said previously very sad!

The last few episodes of season four are very, very sad.

Breaking Bad, my viewing summary so far.
I expected the first few episodes to be a bit tedious in that the characters and storyline needed to be established.
Getting to the sixth episode, I was hoping things started livening up, which of course they did.
Loving all the little sub plots along the way which has got me guessing how things are likely to end up.
All in all I'm getting why this is held in high regard.

Yeah a mate of mine said the same when he first started watching it. Just found everyone so relentlessly evil that it was actually quite exhausting.

Then the ending to season 1 happened and he absolutely loves it.
