Everton are set to move for Middlesbrough’s Turkish forward after striking a deal with Manchester City to take Brazilian striker Jo on loan for a second season.

Gareth Southgate accepted Tuncay would have to be sold the moment his team were relegated last season, and the Boro boss is under pressure to balance the books at the Riverside.

Liverpool were linked with Tuncay earlier this summer but Everton boss David Moyes is now ready to make his move.
