True, but last time there were attacks in both wasn't there? On the trains, just as she was about to go interailing through Germany...
I just don't think it's a healthy mindset to adopt, 'oh, bad thing happened in city X in country A, I'm going to city Y in country A next week, am I in danger?'. Folk seem to do this all the time, you can't live in fear.

ta Adam...it's a massive city with almost 4m people here but it's still very disquieting to have a major terror attack in your own city.

can't imagine the horror of those actually present...no words.

If there's poo in the toilet. You think nothing of it.
If there's poo in kitchen well, then there's a problem.

Once it's in your neck of the woods it's a different story is what I'm trying to say.

Glad you're safe.

Actually it's surprising how fast you get used to it. Brussels isn't exactly my city because well I don't live there. I do go there a lot. From where I live approx. 15-25 minutes by car + the metro station they blew up was the one where I took another metro to go the University for a year. The airport the one I frequent.

The aftermath is quite absurd though. Military men everywhere; today you can still see them but in lesser numbers. I remember the day after; I went to see the movies in Antwerp and there were military vehicles in front of the complex. Not a lot of people could be bothered to go and see a movie so it was just me and my mate; and in the back near the entrance a military man with a gun. Absurd.

It's like a loss of innocence.

Saddended by this, Berlin is my favourite city, been twice in the past 14 months and visiited a few places near this area in September.

It's a very tolerent city, i hope it doesnt kick off there now.

nicely said, Armel.

loss of innocence...it sounds so sad.

I assume you know what's coming now (the blame game and such). I suggest you swerve the media a bit and do some things to let your mind rest a bit.

Might I suggest Firewatch; very good and extremely relaxing game.
