I think Carroll might be perfect, at risk of sounding like a broken record.

Good age, unplayable in the air, out of favour at West Ham, not a terrible touch and a hell of a strike.

Also incredibly injury prone and played for the RS.

It's a tough position to find the right player in but I'm praying he finds a number 10 soon. Even if we had 7 strikers in our squad we'd struggle to beat Watford without a creative midfielder as the template is their for them to copy from last seasons games against WBA, Swansea, Stoke at home.

Well he's spent 3 mill since the window opened, hopefully he's got a war chest not a Warhurst!

True, but I'd much rather pay that price on a winger or a creative mid, then pay a bit less on a striker. Each to their own I suppose
