No idea if we were "late". No later than 5 other clubs who all got rejected either by player or owner I would guess. Not a clue re January. We can sign a preliminary with him then though.

Funny thing is everyone will fume hard tonight and talk about how the board are going to have hell to pay, then we wait a couple weeks for the match, most will have calmed down and forgotten and its business as usual until january when the cycle repeats.
