Have to say I disagree on this one.

If he had the money, he should be inventive. If we were going to spend 15-18M on 1 player, it wouldn't be that difficult to go after another decent target for that amount.

He has said all along he wanted a playmaker. He has an hour to stop himself looking like a complete balloon IMO and I really hope he has something up his sleeve as I do like the man.

To be fair, I'd have well taken £8m and given the squad role to McAleny or something, or loaned a forward.

£8m for Naismith is too good to turn down IMO, and I don't actually mind him.
