Unless representatives or everton work hard (if they are even minded to Do so ) if city change their stance then the bloke I k own feels its unlikely. Clubs do change their minds during windows and it might happen with in this an imminent deal is believed by people I know to be very unlikely

Well he sounds well connected mate so that's possible but I saw the bloke I know before and he felt a loan to us was a non-runner at the moment. I know we asked about a deal for him when we did Rodwell so as others have said I can't help but think as others have said if he was coming to us it'd have been done then ? That said also can't really see any of the 'lower clubs' affording his wages maybe west ham & QPR (who seem pretty well stocked now anyway) aside., clubs tend to soften their position on loans as the clock ticks down on the window . I do know when Bellamy went to Cardiff we were the 'highest' club that they'd have loaned him to , anyone above us they wouldn't entertain it so that does sort of fit with what you've said.

I don't understand this whole us not putting in first option on Johnson as part of the Rodwell deal.

Yeah, you can't force a player to join a club, but if City wanted Rodwell enough and didn't want Johnson they would have given us first option i.e. accepted our loan bid and given Johnson the choice of starting the season with a diff club.

If any City player was going to come to us it would have happened with the Rodwell deal why would we delay it would have been part & parcel of the transfer - i did hear Adam Johnson is on 150 k per week that may have been the stumbling block for us even if we paid half of his wages for a season long loan.
Why we let an England international go to the richest club in the premier for a mere 12 million? with add ons knowing cheski & Unt may have been interested - the ****e paid 20 million for Henderson & 15 million for a lightwieght midfieder from swansea & we just cave in BK the negotiator - Rodwell was 21 ok injury prone but 15 - 20 million should have been the price or a swap deal which did not happen . IMO I can not see why we would have a delay to agree any deals fo any city players??

Just for info, Mr LCAB has said a couple of times on Twitter that it's £15m plus add ons (presumably taking up to £20m-ish). I did see Paul Tyrrell (who filled Ian Ross' post) say on Twitter it was £12m, but I'm not sure how he could 'officially' state that, as the club's position is the transfer fee was undisclosed. Hey ho.

If we knew the real figure which is thought to be around 25m fans would be in uproar when Moyes only spent 10m on players

Hasn't Agger come out and said that he wants to stay? Besides, I can't the ****e going for Johnson considering they have Downing already. I know he can play on the right but any defender with a few brains cells can work out that the boy will cut inside every time rather than run the line.

to be fair Pienaar is pretty effective and cuts in 99 times out of 100 rather than run the line!
