And I agree that the Internet is cool. I like that instead of relying on the news here, I can ask you guys and get an eyewitness report of some of it. Stay safe, especially now that I hear it has made it to Liverpool.
 

I find its more about the kind of person you are than the places you go. Its like when you take a class in school like minded people just sorta graduate towards each other after a few days. I can honestly say iv never been anywhere and not had a great time because people are the same the world over. I went to france to see some friends of mine, their friends spoke no english but we ended up smokin some weed and playin footy in a car park and it was great.
 
So yeah im sure id have a ball in the states. Id like to go to Boston purely because im almost word perfect for every episode of Cheers which is genius. Everyone wants to go to LA and New York and since im single id wanna go to Queens a la Eddie Murphy in coming to america. Id really prefer a southern belle though, i do declare that accent drives me crazy.

Yeah, stay away from queens. Especially if you want the southern belles. I dig them too "I do declare". Virginia is about as far north as you will find such delightful birds in their natural habitat.

Funny, most of my non-football media experience with england is Harry potter, dr who, and green street hooligans. I'm sure I have a perfect understanding of your culture... :)
 
Ive been going to football matches for over 20yrs and never had a fight. But you know what they say, you dont have to be hard, just able to run faster than your fattest friend. Im harry potter obsessed, i had to read them in the bath they made me cry so much. I really wish hadnt written that. And i think dr who is a documentary series. But i live my life through sitcoms and comedy films.
 

if its on ill still go like but very much doubt if its sensible to even contemplate playing it just been watching the police getting "run" by about 30 rioters what chance have they got policing 40.000 at the min

Hey, I like comedy films too mate! You ever watch those Naked Gun movies, I hear they're pretty funny....

Nothing we haven't heard before though really. A decision obviously isn't going to be made today, not likely until Thursday at the earliest. If the Police turn around and say they can't offer protection for the match then Spurs don't really have a say, it will be off.

We will see, but at the moment it doesn't seem that these riots are dying down. If anything they're growing.
