Reality is, we'll probably 7th, we do have a good chance of picking off one of the top 6, that most likely being Arsenal. Their fans aren't happy, Wenger possibly going, Sanchez is hurt and most importantly, it looked like they didn't want to play for Wenger yesterday. They are the weak ones right now.

Their run in is similar to ours, both of us will lose games, but we are in better shape than they are, which sets it up to all hinge on the final game at the Emirates.

We're now closer to 3rd than we are to 8th after city dropped two more points. I think we'll run out of games, as the other teams' games in hand will hurt us, but we're still right in there

The bad news is even just 5 points is a lot to make up. The good news is now all of the big teams are starting to play eachother, and we get a few shots at them ourselves. Win our next 2 Ms we are in a good spot.

I think we have to beat the RS, and City could does us a favour and beat Arsenal at the Emirates....would have preferred a City win today, but it still seems like the RS have dropped 2 points. Chelsea have won it, but the rest of the places will depend on winning games, draws will be no good to anyone. Pity Boro couldn't take something off United.

Next 2 games will decide imo ..possible loss of Scheiderlin for those 2 will make it difficult but not impossible.....COYB !!

Everton winning in order to achieve something of note? If we do that will be the biggest indicator that we've made progress. If we limp in in 7th and don't win another away game then it's a vintage Moyes season.

Games in hand wise* if they are all won by those above us the table looks like this:

Chelsea 72
Spurs 62
City 60
United 58
Arsenal 56
Liverpool 56
Everton 51

...Liverpool are the lowest hanging fruit in that event so a win in the derby is the only way of securing a better finish than 7th. Even a draw there would not be enough in all likelihood

*Not sure if any of those with games in hand above us play each other.
