I feel like we are on the outside of football looking in.
None of it concerns us any more.
We are no longer involved in the fight for the 4th Place Trophy and CL qualification.
We exit cups at practically the earliest stage possible.
Our season is ended in the first weekend of January for the second year in a row.
(though a few more losses in the next couple weeks will probably see the relegation spectre give the next few months a perverse vitality)
We can’t attract top players.
We can’t attract a top class manager.
The prospect of playing in a brand new stadium seems a distant pipe dream (to me anyway).
Worst thing of all, I hardly care anymore.
My wife said, in the week, that she would like to out on Saturday night to catch a movie and go for a meal in town afterwards.
I initially said yes....then remembered about last night’s tea time kick off and said no I couldn’t go as I would have to watch the match.
Then I said “sod it” and for the first time in my like arranged a night out that I did not have to at a time when Everton was playing.
It was 1-0 when I left the house around 6, recorded the rest of the game.
I never once thought about the match and when I came home I just started watching my MOTD recording.
Never expecting us to get back in the game but not expecting that collapse either.
And it doesn’t even hurt no moah
(the movie was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri BTW....good show

)
