Dunno mate, pretty easy for me lol
I take it you're Bulgarian, the language is difficult to learn for english speakers due to it's complexity on the tongue as much as anything. My tongue needs to be more athletic and like a gymnast, the words and sentences are tough to pick up but I have a basic understanding. Also how come words have totally different meanings, vreme or vremeto means time and weather which are different concepts. It's a complex language to learn but I feel it's an eye opener.

Aye I am. I know it's difficult for Englishfolk as it's completely different in just about everything you can think of. I beg to differ it's not exactly "complex", it's just English is simple - nearly every language has peculiar things like that really.

Get your head around the fact we don't just say "it's raining", we specify it ('vali dazhd/snyag', not just 'vali'). It's amazing lol

It's like the greek and latin languages, things are very specific and almost scientific in application. I'll keep learning the language and maybe one day I'll be able to write to you in Cyrillic ;)

Seeing the Hedgehog thread (people are bothered about the world) and people on this thread recommending Malta as a holiday spot, I'd actually boycot Malta for holidays whilst they are still killing rare bird species for the name of cultural identity. The world is different these days with human habitation, how many of you have seen a Turtle Dove recently? It's disgusting their indiscriminate slaughter of birds that are rarer and rarer every year.

The language 'isn't complex', that made me laugh. There are more verb tenses in bulgarian than any other language, there's a tense for 'he/she heard it but never witnessed it so it might be doubtful'. An english speaker would need a paragraph to explain that, it's a very complex language to me.

Is quint still around? Always liked his avatar, but not like I keep up with intraforum politics enough to know this and that.

No, well not in his original guise. He got obliterated over Lewis Hamilton (his perverse love interest since his Kipper postings as Rockafella) and did he his usual drunken sweary stuff.

What made you move to Bulgaria?
I always was interested in natural history from a young age so I am interested in wilderness, the first place I really saw it was in Bulgaria and the interior of the country. If you go there it is like stepping back in time even if the cities are just as modern, it's a feeling everyone wants but the national desire is to make you work like a slave and keep gdp per capita figures high. I don't know if you understand that feeling or not, it's hard to explain. I guess to cut it short the country is breathtakingly beautiful, I'd rather die there than the increasingly nationalist UK.

Why do so many Bulgarians want to leave and come here if it's so great ?.

* I don't doubt what you say is true by the way

I've spoken to many Bulgarians about this, in this country and in Bulgaria. Some well qualified people said they'd never leave Bulgaria, others due to the wage liked the UK but would return home every so often and support their families. The UK of course has some benefits but not entirely. There are a lot of proud Bulgarians.

Haven't spent as much time in Bulgaria, as I have in other former Yugo countries. It certainly seems to have a range of landscape to visit- and the history is an eye-opener. Get the feeling that they are certainly more nationalistic than the UK by far though- though understandable given the recent history of theses countries. As a foreigner who's got millions, you'll Not likely face any insults or anti-immigrant feeling.
