United's revenue predicted to be £560 million in the next set of accounts, Liverpool will probably leapfrog them next year tbh. Although mitigating factors in that they are coming to the end of some of their larger commercial deals. Whether they'll be able to get an increase on them is another thing though given how much of a shambles they are and likely missing out on CL for another year.

Unreal how Klopp has transformed that club on and off the pitch.

Looking at those clubs revenues.

Seems matchday income is the least important of the 3 main revenues.

It's the commercial revenues that is #1 with tv and the added bonus of CL money.

Spurs are up the creek if they don't keep getting CL football, they could easily get out of the top 10 in that list without it, they can't stay top 10 alone just off their new stadium revenues and PL tv money.

In our case though matchday revenue is probably high on the list to be increased post BMD. Which is good if it's coming from businesses buying hospitality packages, but less so if the matchgoing fans are asked to pay a lot more.

Given their position that's obvious but I still don't know the sources. From what I've heard ticket prices are low relative to the Premier League and TV money is, I assume, a lot lower.

They are like the Manu of German football .
The position they are in will command top dollar for anything or anyone that wants to associate themselves with the club.
Guaranteed Champions lge every season regular Bundasliga & German cup winners.
They are truly massive.
Apparently in the 80s Uli Hoeness travelled to the US and witnessed how much better NFL teams market themselves and rake in money from merchandising, marketing, sponsorhip etc and returned to Munich with those ideas

Spurs absolutely cannot fall out of the champions league - its that panic that saw them sack Poch and hire Mourinho.

With the new stadium and debt etc it will all be dependant on them making the champions league.

I read that they had over 15 people in their commercial department alone.

Unbelievable run club, been the benchmark for how to run a club this century, no debt and so clever in how to grow revenues.

New stadium would push us towards the top ten
Going to be a big ask, revenues barely over 200 million with a matchday revenue if 17 million, our matchday revenues would have to surpass Arsenal and United's matchday revenue of 110-120 million and that still wouldn't put us in the top 10 in that list.

What needs to happen is constant CL football and commercial revenues quadrupling our current commercial revenue that is under 40 million a year.

Huge gap from Schalke to Everton caught my attention.

We would do well to set catching that over the next 5 years as a good benchmark.

It can't be explained by sponsorship revenue from Gazprom if they are adhering to FFP.

Clearly they have a strong fanbase in what is a very prosperous industrial heartland, and benefit from it.

I've been to Schalke, their stadium is magnificent and is always being used for events. They move the pitch out of the stadium when they have concerts and speedway events. Good way of maximising your revenue.

The BBC have posted an article showing the 20 richest clubs in Europe in terms of revenue. Barcelona top the list with Man Utd coming in second.

It's pleasing to see Everton come in at 19th but it adds to the frustration knowing that we have the 8th highest revenue in the Premier League but still struggle to get up to 8th in the league.

One thing it does show is just how far ahead the English Top 6 are in terms of revenue. You can add together West Ham & Everton's revenue (7th & 8th) and you've still got less than Arsenal in 6th.

Another positive is that when looking at the top 20, it's a list of the top Champions League teams until you get to the likes of Everton & West Ham. It's information like that, that has brought Ancelotti to the club. He sees the potential and where Everton can get to. Financially we can compete with the Champions League teams. We just need to show it on the pitch.

Who gives a toss? On the pitch is all that matters. Whilst I dont want to be Wigan or whatever, we need at least a cup to kickstart this push for the top and it is not coming this season.
