Sad to see him go but really he should have gone years ago. No doubt will be involved with the club in some capacity in the future.

A great club man Tony, he was a much better defender than he was given credit for, in the modern area where full backs are expected to be more creative he was exposed but as a defender, pure and simple, he was very good. See you shoe, I, for one, will miss you.

At least his last appearance at Goodison we found out how a good tough tackler he really was - fans forget he was on the verge of England call up only for a virus illness to stop him making it - pity he never scored a Prem goal - good luck to him in the future!
