Gibson's performance is heavily affected by whoever plays alongside him. When Felli's there, Gibson delivers barnstorming performances. When Osman plays next to Gibbo, Gibbo's role changes and his performance suffers.

On that basis, I believe putting Huddlestone alongside Gibbo would make me want to kick my cat. Whoever mentioned Diame as an alternative was right.

Jelavic plays a different position than huddlestone. The position he plays doesn't need him to run around like a headless chicken, it more intelligent moving/positioning.

I watched Fer 3 times on tele, I thought he was alright. Always looking for the ball and not afraid to put a tackle in.

I don't like Huddlestone. He has no pace and if the opposition decides to run with the ball, he won't be able to track because he is super-slow. He can strike the ball with great power and is a ok passer of the ball. That's about it. His defending just isn't up to the standard too I think his ability in breaking up play in midfield is not any good.
