He doesn’t pick himself or his role in team, he’s 19 and still showing more for the team than the ex Ajax captain or Snider-lin. He needs to drop out and get his confidence back, yes he’s a local lad, and probably tries harder than the rest but our club is in such a mess he gets picked, gets my support every week

Certainly helps his case that he's played 9999999999 times more than the Ajax ex-captain, who has played about 10 minutes of league football.

The aforementioned were players of the highest calibre. Our youngsters aren't quite at the level. Not saying they are going to fail, but I think we all know they won't be a-listers.

Cop out? I just said he's not going to be a-grade. He could be from mars for all I care. He's probably going to have an able Prem career, maybe not at Everton. But he's not top quality. His touch is iffy for a start.

Add to that we don’t have a consistent playing style under the fat one.

With the above addressed at least he could start to show his potential.

This kid needs loaning out, he needs to gain confidence and maturity.

He's had a poor season no doubt compared to last. He needs to take a step back, work on parts of his game and come back more determined than ever

100% this! He has abaility and tons of passion, but he has been playing in an utterly dreadful set up and it hasnt done him any favours whatsoever. But dropping out of the limelight (like ManU did with Rashford) for a while to let his work on his weaknesses as you say, should do him the world of good!

This lad's 19, Osman was playing third division football at 21 and didn't make his first start until just before his 23rd birthday. Regardless of the "cool" kids saying he was crap, Osman was a good midfielder when he hit his prime.
