He is still very young & will get stronger & better year after year...

Were he a Walsh signing I think we all know well enough how highly he would be rated round here based on first team performances to date.

The fact he is one of us will only protect him so long. If we do splash the cash again in the summer it seems unlikely we'll be building around him so he'll be vulnerable of being eased towards the exit.

Really hope it all comes together for him now or in preseason but I wouldn't put any money on it.

..regardless of who the manager is, the accuracy of his passing and his possession of the football has been poor. I’m just hoping it’s 2nd seasonitis and part of the general team malaise.

Needs to cut out those stupid blind passes he keeps trying. Not sure he'll improve while he's partnered with the biggest culprit, Rooney in midfield.

I'd loan him out to a team in the PL and see how he does next season. Bournemouth, hopefully.

Beats blind optimism towards a lad who right now is nowhere near good enough. Would be great to see him turn it around because he obviously loves the club but so much improvement is needed.
