Struggling under Allardyce, but far from being written off.
Nothing wrong with Davies, it’s just that his learning curve is one flat straight line ever since he broke into first team.
If you compare his development with dcl, holgate, Kenny under the same difficult situation the team faces, it’s no excuse for him to be stagnant.
Someone need to sit down with him and define his role and stick to that path of development, and of course he is too light weight. He can be thrown off balance simply by sticking an arm out, never mind shoulder to shoulder challenge which he had 0 chance of winning.
Precisely. He’s been poor most of the season, just one of things that happens with young lads.
No big deal just needs to be managed well
It's even worse when you consider that Tom is still only a young player who is developing his game, but is being treated like a seasoned pro.Precisely.
It's almost as if no-one is allowed to be off form anymore without the chance of being shot at dawn.

Arguably, it would be beneficial for him to have time out of the first XI (and possibly the squad) to refresh himself, rebuild and focus on training.
However due to a depleted squad, he is unfortunately being left in a dubious position where he's liable for criticism and now they're on his back.
