An exaggeration maybe, but did well seeing as he was the only center midfielder for quite a while

Tried tonight. Did some good stuff and at least tried to dictate the play through the midfield but often lacked composure.

Thought he was excellent in the first half and at times during the second but he also lost his head a few times, no doubt down to the fact that he's a 19 year old lad in a struggling side.

Think he deserves a start on Sunday.

He will do, he's 19.

But when you compared the creativity, defensive and offensive work, passes and change of play compared to senior players around him, he was exceptional.

He might of lost the ball a couple times but at least he looks to play a forward pass. People complain that he takes too long on the ball, that's because he is waiting for players to make runs so he can play them in instead of just playing the easy pass backwards like the rest of our midfielders do.

Oh come off it, I like the lad but these expectations are just so far short of reality. He's a talented youngster but I've said it so many times, he is nowhere near ready to be starting every week.

Where did I say he should be starting every week? He's got talent and a cracking attitude and will to win. I'm not saying he's there yet but in the future he could be a star player.

Fair enough. I just think people really overrate the lad on here which in the long run does him no favours.

They build them up and they knock them down...
